Need help with using Android Transfer

Hi
I hooked my Arc up to my Mac and using Android File Transfer was going to try to put some books that I have on my computer onto the Arc. I don't know where to put them though. I have some different file options to drag to such as Download, Pictures, DCIM ect. but nothing that seems to be appropriate to drag a book to. I tried putting one in as a new file and one into Download but I don't see them anywere when I look at the Arc. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
