Aura On/off brightness function on H2O?

Stupid question I know, but I've spent 30 minutes on the web trawling for information. Seems like it can be controlled by using a finger on the left-hand panel. However I am unable to adjust the light nor to turn it on/off?

Could anyone link me to a thread or video or provide an answer to my question?
