Need Kobo desktop for Snow Leopad (Touch)

I purchased a factory reset Kobo Touch (N905B). According to the unit (when I turn it on) I need to setup the device using Kobo Desktop. I am running Snow Leopard (OSX V10.6). The current version of the software only supports Lion (OSX v10.7).

Touch firmware is 1.9.13 (r33944, 10/19/11)

I have not been able to find a way to get this unit to accept any new books.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
