Hi: I've had a Kobo Touch since January but after the initial setup have never used the Kobo desktop for anything, preferring to learn Calibre. I thought it would be a good idea to update the desktop and check for updated software for the eReader but after 5 or 6 attempts at updating the Desktop App always the same result:
Kobo Desktop Edition has stopped working
Windows can check online for a solution to the problem
I've tried an install from within the old Desktop App, uninstalled that and tried fresh installs, reboots, etc, etc . . . Downloaded the update three times, even installed the old Desktop App again but that won't proceed any further than telling me there is new updates to download ... and the process starts all over again.
Everything else on my computer is updated and working fine.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
